Is it just me, or does it seem outrageous that some printer cartridges cost more than $30? And that's just for one cartridge. You then have to buy a second one for black ink -which hopefully is somewhat less expensive than the color ink cartridge.

One way to save some money on printer cartridges is to buy refurbished cartridges. There are many websites online where you can find this type of ink cartridge for your computer printer. There is even one company that consists of monks who refill and refurbish printer cartridges.

While refurbished ink cartridges allow you to cut down on replacement ink costs quite a bit, you can also go one step further and refurbish them yourself. The black ink replacement kits come with a bottle of black ink and refilling the cartridge is as simple as poking a hole in the top and squirting new ink in.
